Berklee College of Music, Royal Academy of Music—these vocal coaches hail from some of the world’s most prestigious schools. And they teach right here in Singapore. These amazing ladies are our former students, and it makes us very happy to see them contribute to Singapore’s creative scene in their different ways.

What is a vocal coach?

A vocal coach is a performance coach. Vocal coaches handle song interpretation, diction, presentation, delivery, and stylistic interpretation in their sessions.

How is a vocal coach different from a singing teacher?

A singing teacher handles the more technical aspects of singing, such as breath management, pitch, and tone. Their job is to ensure that the performer’s singing sounds good.

In more developed markets, such as the US and UK, these tasks are carried out by different people. However, in Singapore, the singing teacher is usually the vocal coach and handles the tasks of both.
