Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

01

The Mind and Body Are Equal Partners in Wellbeing.

The Mind affects the Body, and the Body affect the Mind via the sensory input/output loop, amongst many shared relationships. Consequently, improving the one, improves the other.

02

Sing As You Speak. Always.

While great vocal technique can produce beautiful singing, it is not enough to sustain it in the face of lifestyle pressures. In order to truly carry that technique beyond the stage, the posture, alignment, breathing and related aspects of that vocal technique must be recreated in daily life, whether it is through communication skills acquisition or holistic lifestyle change.

03

The Voice and Communication Is A Product of Culture, Society and Lifestyle Factors, As Much As It Is a Product of Vocal Technique

Our speech, and by extension, our singing, is shaped by the world we live in, and by our past experiences. We need to become aware of these factors, as well as conscious of our beliefs and behaviours, in order to experience true vocal freedom.

Our Pledge

At Vocalogy, we pledge to honor every voice, whether it’s strained, silenced, or quietly waiting to return.

We acknowledge and appreciate song and prepared speech as vehicles for the expression of feelings that may be suppressed, repressed, or cannot be expressed in everyday life.

We pledge to rebuild nervous systems, restore voices and encourage expression without pressure- one voice at the time.
