Workday Stress Rescue

Someone Tells You to “Stay Calm.” Great. But How?

The meeting is about to start and you’re already worrying about what could go wrong.

Someone says something that makes your blood boil—but you still have to respond professionally.

You’re facing an important decision and your thoughts are going in twelve different directions.

Or the working day is technically over, but your brain apparently didn’t get the memo.

You know you’re supposed to stay calm, think clearly and keep your emotions under control.

But knowing what you’re supposed to do isn’t the same as knowing how to do it.

Workday Stress Rescue gives you something you can actually use.

In this practical online course, you’ll learn simple Jin Shin Jyutsu® self-help practices using your fingers, hands, energy points, mudras and breath—giving you different options to explore when work gets intense.

What Do You Need Right Now?

Different work situations place different demands on you.

Sometimes you need to gather yourself emotionally.

Sometimes you need to think clearly and perform at your best.

Sometimes you simply need to stop carrying the last difficult hour into the next one.

That’s why Workday Stress Rescue doesn’t give you one generic “stress management technique.”

You’ll build a small repertoire of practices you can choose from according to what the moment requires.

Worried, Angry or Overwhelmed?

Jin Shin Jyutsu traditionally associates five emotional states—or attitudes—with the five fingers: worry, fear, anger, sadness and trying-to.

You’ll learn the corresponding finger holds so that when you recognise one of these patterns, you have something simple you can try.

Need to Perform at Your Best?

Meetings, leadership, presentations and important decisions require more than simply being calm.

You may need clarity. Focus. Confident communication. The ability to listen, decide and act.

You’ll explore five Jin Shin energy points and the qualities traditionally associated with them, then learn how to incorporate these simple hand placements into demanding professional situations.

Can’t Switch Off?

Sometimes the difficult moment has passed, but you’re still carrying it.

You’ll learn the Mediator Mudra, including the left and right practices, and explore it as a way of creating a deliberate pause when your thoughts feel cluttered or you’re carrying the demands of the day with you.

Need a Longer Reset?

You’ll also learn 36 Breaths with the Praying Hands Mudra—a simple practice combining a Jin Shin hand position with deliberate attention to your breathing.

Bring your hands together. Count your breaths. Pay attention.

Then notice what happens.

Simple Enough to Use in a Real Working Day

You don’t need special equipment.

You don’t need to change clothes.

And you don’t necessarily need to disappear for an hour whenever somebody irritates you.

Many of these practices involve something as simple as holding a finger or placing your hands on a particular area of your body.

That means you can build them into the spaces that already exist in your day:

before a meeting, between appointments, after a difficult interaction, while preparing for something important or when you finally have a few minutes to yourself.

Learn the practices now, so you don’t have to invent a strategy when you’re already under pressure.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of the course, you’ll have explored:

  • the foundations and traditional principles of Jin Shin Jyutsu®
  • the five attitudes—worry, fear, anger, sadness and trying-to—and their associated finger holds
  • five energy points for meetings, leadership and execution
  • simple hand placements you can explore during demanding professional situations
  • the left and right Mediator Mudras
  • 36 Breaths with the Praying Hands Mudra
  • different ways to choose a practice according to what the moment requires

Most importantly, you’ll leave with a practical collection of self-help tools you know how to use.

Don’t Wait Until You’re Under Pressure to Work Out What to Do

Work stress isn’t going to disappear because you’ve taken this course.

Difficult meetings will still happen. Decisions will still need to be made. People will occasionally say things that test your composure spectacularly.

The difference is that the next time the pressure rises, you won’t only have the instruction:

Stay calm.

You’ll have a finger you can hold.

An energy point you can explore.

A mudra you know how to perform.

A breathing practice you can return to.

You’ll have something you can actually use.

Being told to “stay calm” isn’t much help if nobody tells you what to do.

Workday Stress Rescue teaches you simple Jin Shin Jyutsu® self-help practices for the moments when work gets intense—from difficult meetings and emotional reactions to important decisions and days when you simply can’t switch off.

Learn finger holds, energy points, mudras and a 36-breath practice you can explore throughout your working day.

When the pressure rises, you’ll have something you can actually use.
