Booking & Purchase Terms
These terms apply to single lessons, coaching packages and self-paced online courses purchased from Vocalogy. Please read them before confirming a lesson or making a purchase.
Single lessons require a non-refundable 50% deposit, and packages are paid in advance. Please read our booking terms for cancellations, rescheduling, package use and refunds.

1. Single lessons
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the lesson fee is payable when a single lesson is confirmed. The remaining 50% is payable at the end of the lesson, if it takes place.
If you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice and reschedule, your deposit carries over to the new appointment. If you choose not to rebook, the deposit is forfeited.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or do not attend without notice, the deposit is forfeited. You do not have to pay the remaining 50%.
2. Coaching packages
Coaching packages must be paid in full before the first lesson. Package purchases are non-refundable except where Vocalogy cannot provide the remaining lessons, as described in Section 6, or where a refund is required by law.
Package lessons must be used within one year of purchase. A package may be paused for travel by arrangement with Vocalogy. The expiry date will move by the length of the agreed pause.
A package may be transferred to another person. Its remaining value may also be transferred to another Vocalogy teacher. Because teachers charge different rates, transferring to another teacher may change the number of lessons available. We will explain the remaining value and the receiving teacher's rate before confirming the transfer.
3. Cancelling or rescheduling a lesson
Either the client or the teacher may cancel a scheduled lesson by giving at least 24 hours' notice. A new lesson time will be arranged by mutual agreement. Arrangements may be made by text message, other electronic communication or verbally.
For a single lesson, the deposit carries over if the client reschedules with at least 24 hours' notice. If the client decides not to rebook, the deposit is forfeited.
For a package lesson, cancellation with at least 24 hours' notice does not use up the lesson. It may be rescheduled by mutual agreement.
If a client cancels a package lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, or does not attend without notice, that lesson counts as used. No additional lesson fee is charged.
4. Medical or personal emergencies
The usual forfeiture rules for late cancellation or non-attendance are waived when a medical or personal emergency prevents attendance. Please notify the teacher as soon as reasonably possible so that the lesson can be rescheduled.
For a single lesson, the deposit will carry over to the rescheduled appointment. It remains non-refundable if the client chooses not to rebook.
5. Teacher cancellations
If a teacher cancels a lesson, the client does not forfeit the lesson or deposit. The teacher and client may agree on a new time.
If Vocalogy cannot provide a booked single lesson and the client does not wish to reschedule, Vocalogy will return any payment made for that undelivered lesson.
6. If a package teacher becomes unavailable
If the original teacher becomes unavailable, the client may use the package's remaining value with another Vocalogy teacher. The number of lessons available will depend on the receiving teacher's rate.
If Vocalogy cannot provide the remaining lessons through the original teacher or another Vocalogy teacher, Vocalogy will refund the remaining package value.
The remaining package value is the total amount paid for the package minus the value of lessons already used, calculated at that package's per-lesson rate.
For example, each lesson in an eight-lesson package purchased for S$1,080 has a package value of S$135.
7. Singapore public holidays
Vocalogy does not ordinarily hold lessons on Singapore public holidays. A lesson may be held on a public holiday if the teacher and client agree.
8. Self-paced online courses
Before purchasing an online course, please review its product description for what is included and how long access lasts. Access periods differ between courses; the period stated in the description of the course you purchase applies to that purchase.
Online-course purchases are non-refundable except when the purchaser cannot access the course, or where a refund is required by law.
If you cannot access a course you have purchased, please contact Vocalogy with your order details and a description of the problem. We will work with you to restore access. If we cannot provide access to the course you purchased, we will refund that purchase.
By confirming a lesson or purchasing a coaching package or online course, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Booking & Purchase Terms.
